On this Constitution Day 2021, I am writing once again about the vital importance of Turkey.prefaceTo correctly interpret the United States Constitution. If the country is to remain politically sound and economically viable, it must make concessions.the importance of that opening sentenceand especially the first connotation of the word “and”.

Readers of a certain age can sing the Prologue, but for those who haven’t grownschool building rock, the entire Prolog reads:

“We, the people of the United States, seek to create a more perfect Union, establish Justice, establish Inner Peace, promote common defense, promote the Common Good, and provide the Blessings of Freedom to our Holy Father and their selves, to organize and establish this Constitution. for the United States. ”

Don’t let the Woke Con Law professors fool you into falling asleep, the first “and” meaningmostOne purpose of the United States Constitution is to:

  1. to form a more perfect union;
  2. establish justice;
  3. provide peace in the water;
  4. provide general defense;
  5. promoting general well-being;
  6. guarantees the blessings of freedom.

Con Law professors can discuss the original meaning of Constitution construction and other theories (such as how to construct the meaning of a text) all they want, but their claims are false. , especially when it comes to analyzing even darker parts of the US government framework.

The framers were very careful about the words and phrases they chose.Governor Morris(1752-1816) aStyle and Organizing CommitteeTo ensure that the Constitution sets forth the meaning of the contract in a clear and elegant way. I don’t think it failed, even in the Second Amendment case, I think of Con Law professors and lawyers who either have political agendas or have a poor understanding of Creation. Only a scholar of the period who approaches the document for the purpose of understanding rather than stating its meaning can, in some cases, clearly grasp Morris’ intentions.

opening wordsNotone of these situations. This is one of the best sayings in the history of the English language.

In short, no law, from the lowest corporate law to federal law, is a Constitution, and any interpretation of the Constitution itself is not valid if it controls it.not exactlyOne or more of the six unperformed tasks listed in the Prefaceat leastone of them.

Promoting “common well-being” may be thought of as broad enough to be all-encompassing, but Framers are not collectivists and have no illusions that everyone shares the same thing. What they mean is something likeKaldor-Hicks efficiency, that is, where the total social benefit exceeds the total social cost.

Also note that Morris, who is a good typographer, could simply write “has secured freedom”, instead stating the need to secure “the blessings of freedom . . . for posterity”. he meansperfunctoryFreedom is not enough to achieve the purpose of the Constitution, to gain practical blessings, or to achieve what we now call interests whose purpose is freedom. Also, the Constitution must be understood to protect the interests of liberty not only for the first generation or any succeeding generation, but for future generations. Framers will establish Social Security, aPonzi sales chartridiculously unconstitutional.

What are the benefits of freedom? Morris doesn’t specify them because everyone knows they’ve been reduced to one word, “happiness,” the most misunderstood word in the Declaration of Independence. Happiness today is acliché emotional state, the opposite of sadness. For Morris and other Framers, as for Jefferson in 1776, happiness meant what we now call now.rich. It means lasting peace and prosperity, perhaps with occasional failures from bad luck (bad luck), but not from permanently bad policies.

Unfortunately, most Americans today are no longer emotionally happy and glorified. The radicals will make you believe that the real problem is the capitalists, or at least capitalism, whatever. Conservatives blame the government, but often only highlight aspects they don’t like.

classical liberal viewin other words Framersargued that the laws of the nation and much of the bureaucracy they created were unconstitutional because they did not comply with the Introduction. Some were out of scope, properly understood, while others reduced freedom, weakened the Union or its defences, caused civil strife, or failed to engage in public relations. physically. Perhaps they were adopted with overwhelming support and the best of intentions. It does not matter! If they don’t do at least one of the six items without checking any of them, they’re unconstitutional and they should go!

If you think this means that governments, especially the federal government, will have little to do, you’re right! That’s exactly the problem. state protectedAmericanlife, liberty and property from foreign and domestic enemies,and not much. As it stands, this will lead to peace, easy taxation, and reasonably just government—happiness. Something more than just whatbastiatHe said it was legal theft and misery.

The Preamble of the United States Constitution declares that securing the blessings of liberty is one of the key reasons for adopting the federal Constitution. The Founding Fathers believed that our rights come from Nature and Nature’s God, and that among these unalienable rights are the rights life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Constitution protects those rights both in the original text and through several amendments. The Constitution protected that liberty not just for the Founding Fathers, but for us today. It is our responsibility to ensure that future generations also have those rights.

This is video #7 in the series, The Preamble of the Constitution created for The 5% Project.

Our goal is to create a common understanding of the meaning of each phrase in order to support cooperation, dialogue, respect, and problem-solving as a new reality, a new foundation, for politics in the United States.

The 5% Project is a neutral, nonviolent, nonpartisan gathering of people who hold wildly different political agendas but come together to stop the current fight and flight practice of politics and seek to form a more perfect union, establish justice, and ensure domestic tranquility.
