The community offers a strong business climate, good schools, and a central location with easy access to the cities of Boston, Nashua, Manchester, and the NH seacoast. The town features a mix of residential neighborhoods alongside commercial and industrial development, with some small retail plazas and several high-tech companies.

There are two historic centers known as Hudson Village and Hudson Center. Hudson Village is where you’ll find the Hills Memorial Library, Town Hall and Town Common.

Hudson Center is where you once would have found Benson’s Wild Animal Farm. A long running private zoo and amusement park, it featured a wide variety of animals from trained lions, bears, llamas, a gorilla, elephants, monkeys and more. it closed in 1987, but reopened in May of 2010 as a town park for recreational use. Benson Park is a terrific place to bring pets or family, go jogging, bike riding or just take a nice walk. With miles of trails, as well as several beautiful lakes and ponds, it’s also home to an awesome large dog/ small dog off leash dog park, maintained by volunteers.

For recreation, Hudson also boasts both an 18 and 9 hole golf course. There are numerous parks and bodies of water, such as the popular Robinson Pond, the perfect spot for picnics, fishing, swimming or boating.

North of Hudson Village you’ll find The Hudson Historical Society, dedicated to preserving the history of the town and Alvirne High School.

Hudson is considered a bedroom community of the Greater Boston area. Conveniently located just 42 miles from downtown Boston with easy access to Route 3 and Route 93, Hudson is an ideal commuting location. Housing in Hudson ranges from classic New England homes to modern subdivisions and condominiums to farm properties. A new gated adult community is a recent addition to the housing offerings. And of course Manchester and Concord are just minutes away to the north, as well as a short 20 minute ride to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
