Who created the swan and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
I mean this grasshopper-
one who threw himself out of the grass,
who eats sugar out of my hand,
moving her jaw back and forth instead of up and down –
who looked around with her large and complex eyes.
Now she lifted her pale arm and washed her face.
Now she opens her wings and flies away.
I don’t know exactly what prayer is.
I don’t know how to watch, how to fall
down on the grass, how to kneel on the grass,
how to be idle and happy, how to stroll through the fields,
I did that all day.
Tell me what else should I do?
Isn’t everything dead and premature in the end?
tell me what you gonna do
with your wild and precious life?
