Updated at 9:47 p.m. MDT June 16, 2021

On Wednesday, the Robertson Draw Fire was spreading much more slowly than Tuesday when it ran 9 miles northeast. Softer winds and higher humidity still result in additional land take north and south, moving about a mile in each direction. Winds are typically from the north and northeast at 5 to 10 mph with gusts of 12 to 20, but the high relative humidity of the 40’s moderated the rate of propagation.

In lighter winds, aircraft can support firefighters on the ground, including a DC-10 Very Large Refueler.

At 9:15 a.m. it was still coming in from the north at 17 miles per hour, at a speed of 32 but relative humidity up to 42 percent.
