While many people come for its natural beauty, Idaho also has some great cities to explore. Boise, the state capital and largest city, has a number of fascinating historical sites and a vibrant downtown area, while both Sandpoint and Sun Valley are great if you want to ski. .

History abounds too, with the ghost town of Custer and the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail well worth a visit. Also, the state’s stunning scenery makes it perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities; Skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling are popular in the winter, while mountain biking, canoeing, and whitewater rafting are popular in the summer.

The majestic mountain range extends into its northern territory and offers locals and tourists a wealth of excellent hiking, climbing and camping opportunities.

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is great for canoeing, hiking and camping, while skiing and snowboarding can be found at Ogden, Park City and Provo ski areas.

Because the state is known for its remarkable variety of national parks and natural landmarks, Utah’s cities and towns are primarily used as gateways to the beautiful surrounding natural world. Both the town of Cedar andmoabare great bases if you want to explore the nearby countryside.
