The Hollywood Masterclass “Song of the South” 1946 American Live Actor / Cartoon, Musical based on Uncle Remus by Joel Chandler Harris. This film takes place in the southern United States during the Reconstruction Era, i.e. the period immediately after the Civil War.

With a lot of effort, Walt Disney was able to film Song of the South in Phoenix, Arizona, and some scenes were also shot in Hollywood.

Finally, Disney released this masterpiece in 1946. But shortly after the release of the original Song of the South, it caused controversy. Some of the key critics portrayed African Americans as racist and derogatory. Due to the controversy, Disney canceled the film and has not released any home video formats, which are also not available on their Disney streaming platform.

However, Song of the South Movie received accolades such as the Academy Award for Best Original Song “The Song Zip-a-dee-doo-dah” and Baskett received an Academy Honors Award for Action of Him as Uncle Remus.

So don’t miss this rarest title, it’s a true masterpiece of animated and live action family movies.

I have several of these still sealed with original disney price tag still on shrink wrap. I would sell them cheap.
