Who is Amelia Peabody?

A historical crime thriller written by American author and Egyptologist Barbara Mertz under the pen name Elizabeth Peters (also known as Barbara Michaels when she wrote the Gothic Novels), this series follows the adventures of Egyptian house of updating Amelia Peabody Emerson.

At least at first, because Amelia married quickly and took her entire family – her elite husband Radcliffe Emerson, son Ramses and later cousin Nefret – with her on her adventures, mostly in Egypt with mummies, thieves, murderers and all sorts of criminals.
