Before heading out of Horseshoe Bend Campground, we wanted to visit Pea Ridge National Military Park. It is one of the most intact Civil War Battlefields in the country. Dylan loves history and we try to encourage that whenever possible. The only downside is that the visitor center and museum are temporarily closed, but Dylan still enjoyed reading all of the signs posted around the battlefield. After leaving, it was off to our next destination…where are we headed this time? We will let you know in today’s video!

Hi friends, welcome to my channel. In this video i am sharing about Pea Ridge National Military Park which is in United States, located in northwest Arkansas near the Missouri border. The park protects the site of the Battle of Pea Ridge, fought March 7 and 8, 1862.The battle was a victory for the Union, and helped it gain control of the crucial border state of Missouri. It was dedicated as a national park during the nation’s Civil War Centennial in 1963.

If you are planning to visit the park, it has a visitors center and museum, a driving tour , hiking trails, a portion of the pre-war Old Telegraph Road, approximately 2.5 miles (4.0 km) of the Trail of Tears as followed by some members of the Cherokee Nation, and the restored Elkhorn Tavern, which was the epicenter of much of the battle.

Please watch and do share if you like it.
