The Reading and Northern Railroad displayed their second newly painted SD50 at the train station in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania during the holiday season. This stunning black, red, and grey paint job is the inverse of the colors on 5018 which was unveiled in August. I’m not sure which of the two designs they will use for their remaining SD50’s or whether they will do something different entirely.
I can’t decide whether I prefer the colors on 5018 or 5019, but they both look fantastic!
